Job description / responsabilities |
: |
- The candidate is required to have a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, with at least 5 years experience in audit process controls,
- ACCA certificate holder or ACCA student (not essential)
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- The successful candidate must possess the ability and the expertise to identify control process weaknesses and suggest improvement recommendations in verbal and written form,
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English are essential,
- A working knowledge of French is desirable,
- Ability to travel to international locations is a requirement (15% to 25%).

Internal audit (around 40% of the time):
- Review and appraise the soundness, adequacy and application of financial and other operational controls to ensure effectiveness,
- Working with other audit team members, identify constructive and value-added solutions to address issues identified.
Sarbanes-Oxley (around 40% of the time):
- Act as a key contact regarding the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program. Communicate guidelines pertaining to the documentation of new and existing processes and testing of key controls,
- Review SOX documentation for completeness and standarization. Perform testing on an ad hoc basis to evaluate the operating effectiveness of documented critical controls
